Science Fiction Macho

Science fiction showcases the most attractive masculine men. That is no secret.

I would select the most attractive macho man of the fleeting moment in science fiction television as Dean Geyer, pictured here. He appeared in the cancelled FOX science fiction series Terra Nova. Geyer, born in South Africa, portrayed a young, great-looking military man who was learning how to live as a time traveler in a long-ago Earth where perilous creatures threaten mankind. He was such a pleasure to watch on this science fiction series while it lasted.

star-trek-casts Of course, there is no doubt that Star Trek is the most famous science fiction series of all time on television.

The original cast from 1966 on NBC certainly may not be considered to be as sexy as the cast from the J.J. Abrams movie in 2009, especially because of the very attractive actors Chris Pine (Captain James T. Kirk) and Zachary Quinto (Mr. Spock).

galactica-menMy opinion is that Battlestar Galactica (the Ron Moore cable network version that started in 2003, not the cheesy 1978 version on ABC) featured the very most macho male characters all in one science fiction series on television. This unique distinction makes renting all the DVDs today totally worthwhile.

Even out of character these men are just irresistible!

From left to right, Aaron Douglas (Chief Galen Tyrol), Tahmoh Penikett (Karl “Helo” Agathon), and Michael Trucco (Sam Anders) are photographed together at one of the frequent fan gatherings that certainly keep the Battlestar Galactica franchise alive and kicking.

Wes Chatham from The Expanse
A more recent group of male science fiction characters populates the stories of The Expanse on Amazon. Shown here is the very hunky actor Wes Chatham who portrays major character Amos Burton.
